Kia Motors UK has had a very successful 2019 in terms of awards, most recently winning ‘Best Electric Car’ with their e-Niro model at the Business Car Awards.
Adding to an already expansive list of awards, this most recent is important as the Business Car Awards recognise car manufacturers for their ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service, as well as offer innovative products. The cars and their manufacturers are judged by well respected industry experts and well-known road testers.
Delivering the verdict from the judges, Stuart Thomas, Director of Fleet and Accident Management at the AA, commented: “The Kia e-Niro combines the range capability of a premium electric car with the accessibility of a high-specification family crossover. The Kia makes the ownership experience of an electric car very easy and sets a new benchmark.”
The e-Niro boasts a next-generation electric powertrain thanks to new production technologies developed specifically for Kia electric vehicles. It has also been designed to offer an enjoyable performance with its crossover-inspired design mixed with long-distance, zero-tailpipe emissions driving.
Three other Kia car models were shortlist contenders within their respective categories. The Ceed, which recently won ‘Car of the Year’ in the Intelligent Instructor Awards, was a runner-up for ‘Best Lower-Medium Car’. Furthermore, the Stinger was shortlisted for ‘Driver’s Choice’ and the Stonic was also a contender for ‘Best Compact SUV’.
