If you work a 9-5 job, we’re sure you’d agree that it’s so lovely to be able to leave the office to be met with sunshine (sometimes). And although it’s still a little cool here in the UK, the weather is slowly becoming milder. So how are you going to spend your lighter spring evenings? We’ve got seven ideas for you to try out – go, make the most of those evenings!
Wash your car
Not the most glamorous evening but being able to wash your car without getting red raw hands from the cold weather is almost a luxury. We’ve all been cooped inside for what feels like far too long, so why not make the most of your evening and carry out a spring car check? Now is the perfect time to get your car ready for the fair-weather months. From getting rid of unnecessary weight in your car to flushing your wheel arches clean of salt. Read through this spring car checklist for more tips.
Go on a bike ride
Cycle to the closest country park or around the block. Just getting out there and exercising can make you feel so much better – particularly after a stressful day at work. Doing more with your evenings can make your day feel longer, in a good way. You’re no longer getting home watching telly and going to bed – you look forward to your evenings more when you have things planned.
Eat your food outside
Although it’s still largely coat weather, a nice bright and sunny day is all you need to have a barbecue or a picnic in the local park or at the beach. Even travelling to your nearest waterfront for some fish and chips is so much more enjoyable in spring weather. So go out and absorb some vitamin D!
Get out in your garden
Whether it’s playing with the kids in the garden or doing a spot of gardening, just being in the garden, particularly in the sunshine, can make you feel so much happier after a busy day! You could play a mini badminton tournament with the family or plant some new vegetables – there are many things you can do to enjoy your garden in spring.
Visit an open-air cinema
Many cities and towns offer an open-air cinema showing some of the best-loved classic films. Take a blanket and some drinks and you’re all set! Most open-air cinemas have a wide selection of films so there’s always something for everyone.
